Ranrupt: Lancaster ME-639, the graves
Cimetière Ranrupt, Vosges. Three nationalities from two world wars are buried in this small mountain village. It is the resting place of three of the crew of Lancaster ME-639 from Kirmington, crashed nr Colroy-la-Roche 25 Feb 1944 on mission to Augsburg. Two of the crew were taken prisoner, one escaped and one is buried in the churchyard. The cemetery also contains three German soldiers from 1914 and French dead from ~1914.
